Archbishop Molloy will be heading into the playoffs on a high note.

The Stanners got 17 points from sophomore forward Carolyn Gallagher and budding junior guard Kamille Ejerta dropped in 15 in a 59-52 win over PSAL power John F. Kennedy in a non-league girls basketball game in Briarwood Thursday.

Senior forward Angela Contorno scored 13 points and sophomore guard Amani Tatum added seven for Molloy (12-12), which will meet Bishop Ford in the CHSAA Brooklyn/Queens quarterfinals March 1. The game will also double as a tiebreaker for a fourth-place finish and a chance at the CHSAA Class AA state playoffs.

Deaisia Acklin led Kennedy (16-9) with 12 points and Joya McFarland had 11. Leshauna Phinazee and Shaquaya Daniels both added 10. The Lady Knights face August Martin in the second round of the PSAL Class AA playoffs also on March 1.

IVY LEAGUE

Riverdale 58, Dalton 41: Katherine Coles scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Meg Martin had nine points for Riverdale (10-7, 5-6) in the Ivy League. Chelsea Baez tallied seven points, five rebounds and and four steals, Lindsey Weissman had eight points and Julia Tishman added seven. Isabel Feldman led Dalton with 11 points, Charlotte Barber had eight and Janelle Bradley added seven for Dalton (9-10, 2-8). The Falcons, who led 30-20 at the half, play their final league game Saturday night at Manhattan College against rival Horace Mann.

ACIS QUARTERFINALS

Packer Collegiate 39, Sacred Heart 29: Rachel Pradilla and Shannon Rhodes each scored nine points for Packer, which advances to play Brearley in the semifinals Saturday.
