St. John’s star forward Moe Harkless, who rolled his right ankle in Wednesday night’s loss at Pittsburgh, is expected to play tomorrow night when the Red Storm wrap up the regular season at Rutgers.

St. John’s spokesman Mark Fratto said Harkless was receiving ice treatments. The team did not practice yesterday, giving Harkless a full day’s rest.

Harkless rolled the ankle with 14:36 left in the first half of the 89-69 loss to the Panthers, returned with 10:07 left before halftime, but was clearly limited. He sat the final 11:37 of the game, finishing with a season-low four points in a season-low 22 minutes.

“He’s a tough guy,” said assistant coach Mike Dunlap. “He would have gone all the way for us.’’

Harkless, averaging 15.2 points and 8.5 rebounds, is a top candidate for the Big East Newcomer of the Year Award.
