Yonkers Raceway will be rocking tonight as the $437,100 Messenger delivers a little bit of heaven.

Rock N Roll Heaven, the overwhelming favorite for Horse of the Year honors, is the 4-5 morning-line choice to capture the third jewel in pacing’s Triple Crown.

The 3-year-old colt, trained by Bruce Saunders and owned by Frank Bellino of Bronxville, has 13 wins in 18 starts this season, including the $500,000 Breeders Crown.

“The horse appears to be as fresh and as fit as he was for his first start,” Saunders said. “Win or lose, he always shows up and does his best.”

One horse who could have the last laugh on Rock N Roll Heaven is 9-5 second choice One More Laugh.

The Ray Schnittker-trained gelding bested Rock N Roll Heaven by a head earlier this year in the $1 million Meadowlands Pace.

“I think the history over the last two years has proved that the only horse that’s capable of going fast enough, week in and week out, to go past [Rock N Roll Heaven] is One More Laugh,” Saunders said. “So anytime we’re racing with him, I’m always concerned about the outcome because that’s a great horse.”

The Messenger is race eight on the 13-race card and has an estimated post time of 9:30 p.m.
