It’s a shame Slosh Beckett can’t pitch every day. Hondo ended another losing streak last night by going against Slosh and the Sawx, whose Baltimore flop lowered the accounts payable to 2,145 weavers.

Tonight, Mr. Aitch will stick with the Birds and mix in some Metamucil action – 10 units apiece on Gonzalez and Dickey.

“Sexting” is among the new words recognized by the Merriam Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary. Much of the credit for that has to go to Anthony “Ridiculous Bulge” Weiner, who at one time may have sexted some junk mail to Merriam. . .Also on the list is “obesogenic,” which relates to an environment that puts people at risk for obesity. An example of usage: If Mississippi could get its nation-leading 35 percent obesity rate to rival its literacy rate, it wouldn’t be considered so obesogenic. . . VH1 took a hard line with headbutting butthead Chad Johnson and canceled his reality show, “Ocho & Ev.” The only way he might be able to get it back is to put in some rehab time with Dr. Drew, who’s in charge of celebrity exploitation for the network.
