Hofstra senior guard Loren Stokes was named to the Associated Press All-American honorable mention squad yesterday. Stokes, who led the Pride to its third straight 20-win season and second straight NIT appearance, will now set his sights on the NBA Draft. He averaged 20.3 points per game this season and finished as Hofstra’s second all-time leading scorer.

Also named to the team were Marist’s Jared Jordan, the MAAC player of the year, Albany’s Jamar Wilson, a Bronx native, and Central Connecticut State’s Javier Mojica.

The first team featured Texas’ Kevin Durant, Wisconsin’s Alando Tucker, Texas A&M’s Acie Law, UCLA’s Arron Afflalo and Ohio State’s Greg Oden.
