We’re two weeks into the 2010 season, and, once again, the Big East isn’t seeing a lot of respect from the national media.

West Virginia is the lone team from the conference in the Top 25 in either poll, coming in 21st in each of them. In the AP poll, Pittsburgh is the first team outside of the Top 25, with no other Big East teams receiving votes, while Pitt, Cincinnati and Connecticut are all receiving votes in the USA Today poll.

Not even West Virginia made ESPN’s Top 25, with both the Mountaineers and Pittsburgh sitting just on the outside looking in.
