The Kings yesterday traded 27-year-old center Jason Blake to the Islanders for a conditional draft pick.

The 5-10, 185-pounder is in his second full pro season out of the University of North Dakota, and has shuffled between the NHL and the minors each year. He went 1-3-4 in 17 games with the Kings this year, and 5-18-23 in 64 games there last season.

In a remarkable mea culpa, Isles winger Mark Parrish apologized to Islander fans for suggesting Tuesday that boo-birds stay home from Nassau Coliseum, and offered to “face the music” in person Friday from fans upset with his now-retracted comments, reported in yesterday’s Post.

“I want to apologize to all Islander fans for my comments after last night’s game. I have no doubt my quotes offended the people who pay their hard-earned money and come out and support us, and you are the last people in the world I should have taken my frustration out on …

“As a way of apologizing, I’ve asked the Islanders staff to give me a chance to face the music. I’m going to make myself available at the Islanders Team Store in the Broadway Mall in Hicksville from 6-7 p.m. Friday. Please come down if you’d like a signed photo of me, or if you just want to, ahem, say hello.”
