After 36 days of racing, the Showdown at Saratoga came down to the wire. In fact, three of the four combatants, who began with a $1,800 payroll and were able to bet up to $50 a day, posted a profit.

The Post’s lead handicapper, John DaSilva, made a huge late run, nailing yesterday’s 10th-race exacta, worth $67.50, five times for a profit on the day of $287.50. It helped him finish in the plus with $1953.80.

Meanwhile, Vic Cangialosi only needed his final wager, $10 across the board on Storm Treasure in the 10th, to return $25.30 (a scratch would have done it) to win it all. The 4-1 shot finished fifth and Vic C. settled for second with a bankroll of $2,059.75.

The winner: OTB’s own Sean Clancy, who came up empty yesterday but held on with a final balance of $2,085. Congratulations!
