The second round of the World Cup starts tomorrow and it’s win or go home for the final 16 teams.
Beginning tomorrow, and including the World Cup final, if a match is even at the end of 90 minutes, extra time of two periods (15 minutes each) will be played. If the score is still tied after extra time, the match will be decided by a penalty kick shootout.
In the shootout, each team takes five kicks.
If at the end of these five rounds of kicks the teams have scored an equal number of goals, sudden death rounds of one kick each are used until one side scores and the other does not.
