Joe Buck learned his lesson from last year.

After Brooks Koepka captured his second straight US Open victory, the Fox Sports commentator avoided a slip of the tongue by correctly identifying the 28-year-old golfer’s girlfriend, Jena Sims.

“Now, he and Jena again celebrate the US Open championship,” Buck said, per For the Win, adding emphasis when he got to Jena’s name.

Buck came under fire in 2017 after misidentifying Sims as Koepka’s ex, Becky Edwards. The broadcaster apologized for the gaffe, and the model-actress has forgiven him.

“Of course,” Sims, 29, told USA Today Sports. “He clarified my name this week, so I appreciate it. But I didn’t really care…”

She added: “He talked to Brooks. They met up at that baseball game last year, but I was working so I didn’t get to go and experience that.”

With the win, Koepka became the seventh player in history to win consecutive US Opens.
