Midfielder Jorge Rojas just arrived from Venezuela at the end of today’s Red Bulls practice at the Giants Stadium bubble.

He said he’d initially hoped to go on loan during the winter because the offseason is so long, and conditioning is so important in MLS. He said the athleticism _ both physicality and the speed _ is something that took getting used to, but that he’s adjusted both for that and the conditioning aspects for the upcoming season. He sounded fired-up.

Juan Carlos Osorio agreed that the 31-year-old midfielder had struggled with the physicality of the league, but was encouraged by the conversations he had and felt that he was adapting well.
