Serena Williams’ frustration in grand slams reached its boiling point after she dropped the first set of her second-round match at Wimbledon against fellow American Christina McHale.

At the break, she viciously smashed her racket five times against the ground before throwing it behind her and hitting a cameraman in the process. The chair umpire issued Williams a code violation for her outburst.

Williams enlisted the help of a new racket and rebounded to win the next two sets and move on to the third round, where she will face Annika Beck of Germany.

Williams, a six-time Wimbledon champion, said she didn’t let her anger affect the outcome of the match. She punctuated the 6-7, 6-2, 6-4 victory with an enormous shriek.
“Nobody can break me mentally,” Williams said on ESPN after the victory.
