You won’t like LeBron when he’s angry.
LeBron James said he is taking “mental notes” of all those ripping him following his decision to join fellow superstars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh with the Miami Heat.
“Don’t think for one min that I haven’t been taking mental notes of everyone taking shots at me this summer. And I mean everyone!” James wrote on Twitter.
The main target for James may be Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert, who called James’ decision a “cowardly betrayal” in a letter on the team’s website following James’ hour-long “Decision” show on ESPN. But that was just the beginning of the backlash at the superstar.
James has been slammed for the manner in which he made the announcement, for abandoning Cleveland, and for his willingness to join star players instead of trying to beat them, a situation Michael Jordan expressed surprise at.
And Knicks owner James Dolan has questioned James’ desire to play under the bright lights in the Big Apple.
“We’re always all aware of what we do and how critics can be out there sometimes,” Bosh said on ESPN Radio this morning. “[James] uses it to fuel his ambition to win next year. I think we’re going to have a lot of doubters. But that’s fine, you know, that’s a part of the game. As long as we come together and play the game the way it’s supposed to be played I think we’re going to be successful.”
James did not have a Twitter account until just prior to his free agency.
