Lenny Wilkens has seen more change than he’s accustomed to since taking over as coach of the Knicks and now he’s looking to Nazr Mohammed to add some stability.

“From here on out, I think we’ll stay with Nazr in the middle,” Wilkens said yesterday.

Wilkens had used a rotation at center, often with Dikembe Mutombo starting games. The often-perturbed Mutombo was strangely unmoved by yesterday’s decision.

“From now on, I’m not going to get caught up in who’s starting,” Mutombo said. “It doesn’t matter who starts, it’s who finishes.” (p.63 Metro and Sports)
