Lenny Dykstra disputed complaints that he created a trash-strewn hellhole at his Linden, NJ, residence, instead claiming he turned the real estate into the “best house on the block.”

“I took an ugly bitch and made her into a beautiful rock star,” the former baseball star told The Post on Thursday.

“Maybe the other houses are jealous that I have the best house now.”

The World Series champ was responding to a report from NJ Advance Media where neighbors claimed the home on a quiet tree-lined street has been plagued with noise, trash, fights and illegal boarders.

“It all started when he moved in,” Linda Graham, who lives nearby, told the paper. “There’s been two overdoses. There’s been a scuffle on the front lawn. There’s been people who are here today, gone tomorrow. We don’t know who these people are and we are afraid.”

Dykstra said he heard about the overdose but was not there at the time

“It was a construction worker,” he said.

A neighbor also provided a picture with piles of trash in front of Dykstra’s home. But the former center fielder said the picture was misleading.

“The picture they picked was from trash day,” he said.

“Once a month in Linden you can put out the trash. I am OCD, so you’d think I’d have trash like that? That’s garbage day throwing out all stuff from the work I did to make this house livable.”

Dykstra said he has kicked out all the tenants, after being told that they were illegally boarding there — and has just one friend staying for free.

“They asked me to do something so I did it,” Dykstra said about removing the tenants. “I have a friend who stays here… We are in America. It’s my house.”

Dykstra has served more than six months in prison after pleading guilty in 2012 for bankruptcy fraud and other crimes.
