The Liberty begin their first-round playoff series against second-seeded Connecticut having lost three of their last four regular season games.

“You always want to be playing well at the end of the year,” said Liberty head coach Patty Coyle, whose team hosts the Sun tonight at the Garden in Game 1 of the best-of-three series.

Coyle is confident her third-seeded Liberty squad (19-15) will rebound against 21-13 Connecticut, since injured stars Janel McCarville (back spasms) and Shameka Christon (hamstring) are healthy again.
