Lincoln held off Jefferson, 87-83, yesterday in an early-season matchup between what could be the top two basketball teams in the PSAL. St. John’s head coach Norm Roberts was at Lincoln to see Railsplitters senior Lance Stephenson, who scored just seven points in the first half, but finished with 20. Anthony Allen led Lincoln (4-1) with 25, while Jefferson (5-1) got 21 from Joel Wright and 19 from Keith Spellman before he fouled out midway through the fourth.
