LINDROS GETS OK TO WORK
Eric Lindros will begin light off-ice workouts today at the Rangers’ practice rink after being cleared to do so yesterday in Montreal following a consultation with neurologist Dr. Karen Johnston.
Lindros, who flew into New York last night, has been sidelined since suffering a concussion on Jan. 28.
“Eric is recovering very well and we are encouraged with his recovery to date,” Dr. Johnston said in a release distributed by the Rangers.
Lindros, who on Monday told The Post that he hoped under a best-case scenario to be able to return to the lineup late next week – a timetable that may be unduly optimistic – will start a rehab program consisting of light cardiovascular activity with controlled activity and heart rate.
