Lindsey Vonn loved Tiger Woods, just not all of the attention their romance received.

“It was really hard. The breakup, being together, it was all really hard,” the athlete told E! News. “It was essentially being in a fish bowl. Everybody’s looking at you and judging you and commenting on what they think is right or wrong and it was hard.”

Vonn and Woods dated for three years before calling it quits in May 2015, though the pair remains friendly.

“It’s nice to be able to stay in touch with him, but yeah, we’re just at different places in our lives, but he’s still a friend,” she said.

Though Vonn’s love life continues to be a topic of conversation — she was spotted with “Hunger Games” actor Alexander Ludwig on separate occasions earlier this year — she’s learned plenty from Woods when it comes to high-profile relationships.

“That’s one thing that made me stronger. Being able to block out the noise and block out other people’s opinions, and honestly it doesn’t matter what anybody else thinks as long as you’re happy,” she said.

Although Vonn admitted in July to still loving Woods, the Olympian is currently on the hunt for Mr. Right.

“They just need to be confident and charismatic,” Vonn shared on “Access Hollywood Live.” “That’s the only requirement. Just be confident in yourself and don’t be afraid to say hi.”
