LJ HOPING TO BE BACK
Larry Johnson remains hopeful that a bad back that kept him out of action for Game 1 against the Raptors will feel better for Game 2. But there’s no indication that will happen.
Johnson did not practice yesterday after his back proved too sore for any extensive action.
“I usually come out about an hour before practice and go through my little routine of stretching and jumping, whatever,” Johnson said. “If I don’t feel good during my routine or start feeling sensations during my routine, I stop.”
Johnson was forced to stop yesterday and isn’t sure it will feel any better when the Knicks stage their final practice before tomorrow’s game at the Garden.
“I’m going to do the same thing I’ve been doing,” he said. “I’m going to keep an open mind.”
