Among the finalists announced yesterday for this year’s McDonald’s All-American Game in Cleveland are Xaverian’s Chris Taft, Shagari Alleyne from Rice, Gary Forbes of Banneker and Louie McCroskey of St. Raymond’s. McCroskey’s teammate, Daon Merritt, also made the cut despite having missed almost the entire year with a broken foot. Decision day is Feb. 26.

Another player on the list is Charlie Villanueva from Blair Academy (N.J.). Villanueva grew up in Queens and his family now lives in Brooklyn.

And of course, there is LeBron James.

On the girls side, powerhouse Christ the King has three potential representatives in Shay Doron, Amanda LoCascio and Corinne Turner.

Ursuline’s Cori Chambers also made the list.

The Christ the King-Rice game scheduled for last night was postponed and will be made up on Friday at 5:30 at the Gauchos Gym in The Bronx.
