The USGA is going the extra yardage to turn Thursday’s PR debacle into something positive tomorrow, when Thursday’s tickets for the U.S. Open – along with those marked Monday – will be valid for admission to the conclusion of Round 4 and any playoff. They’re even trying to help those whose Thursday tickets became soggy mush.

Those now-lucky fans whose Thursday tickets were discarded, lost or turned into unrecognizable pulp by the deluge, can have their early advance purchase verified by available records at the Will Call facilities at Bethpage.

Individuals who need to replace tickets purchased at the pre-tournament on-site sale, June 11-14, will need to show their receipt at Will Call for admission.
