Fans also should never see MSG analyst Bill Raftery asking reporter Anthony Fucilli for courtside opinions, which oddly occurred immediately after Game 2.

(For Game 3, MSG rectified the mistake, sending Fucilli straight to the locker room with Raftery courtside.)

While, in this forum, YES’ Ian Eagle is slightly better than MSG’s excellent Mike Breen, the winner here ultimately comes down to the main analysts:

Raftery vs. the man who took his Nets’ job, YES’ Kelly Tripucka.

The conversational and informative Raftery is superior to the awkward Tripucka, who often strays from his point.

Tripucka might have Raftery’s old job, but, more important, Raftery has led MSG to a Matchup title.
