Maryland beat ACC rival North Carolina 1-0 to take the 2008 NCAA National Championship at Pizza Hut Park in Frisco, Texas. Senior Graham Zusi scored the game-winner, while Red Bull youth academy star Matt Kassel _ a freshman from Bridgewater (NJ) _ got in as an early sub and played almost the entire game. It marked the second College Cup crown for the Terps in the last four years.
