METS STAYING ON FAN
WFAN will shortly announce that it has renewed its Mets radio rights as part of a multi-year deal. The station’s previous rights to broadcast the Mets expire after this season.
The re-signing comes as a blow to ESPN Radio-NY, which had been an aggressive bidder for the Met deal in the hope that the station could enhance its local presence.
