The Minneapolis Star-Tribune says the Mets are a viable trading partner if the Twins deal ace picher Johan Santana.

The paper reports the Twins checked in with the Mets, Yankees and Red Sox before the Christmas holiday. It also says Kei Igawa’s name was mentioned as possibly part of the Yanks’ deal.
