BETHESDA, Md. — Phil Mickelson’s thrill ride at the 111th U.S. Open continued yesterday.
Though the end result was better than it was in the first round — Mickelson shot a 2-under-par 69 — it still left a poor taste in his mouth thanks to a double-bogey on the 18th hole.
That left Mickelson at 1-over par for the tournament and in a tie for 26th place entering the weekend.
