Mike Francesa was deep into his March Madness picks during his WFAN show on Wednesday when he got to a potential second-round match between Maryland and Florida State. Too bad the iconic afternoon host didn’t seem to know Maryland and Florida State didn’t play each other this year, forgetting that the Terrapins have been in the Big Ten since 2014.

This is even more ironic because, as noted by Francesa archivist @sportsfunhouse, a few months ago Francesa made fun of a caller who didn’t know Rutgers was in the Big Ten.

A few weeks ago, Francesa got himself embroiled in controversy by saying a woman coaching an NBA team would be nothing more than a “publicity stunt.”
