It’s not that I want to see a man running around wearing only a G-string. But….. It’s not that I want to see a man running around wearing only a G-string. But it challenges my curiosity as a reporter to have missed Mark Roberts do his thing for a second time. Roberts, known as The Streaker, flashed his flesh during yesterday’s game between the Giants and Dolphins at Wembley Stadium.

Just before the second-half kickoff Roberts, who is well known to British fans for his bare-bottom stunts, jogged onto the field and stripped out of a fake referee uniform and did a little dance before being escorted off the field. “It was pretty funny,” said Giants offensive lineman David Diehl. “What better way to set off a trip to London than a streaker dressed as a referee. He put on a performance out there.”

Unfortunately, I missed the whole bloody episode taking care of duties in the press box restroom. It marked the second time I’ve missed Roberts do his thing. He performed the same referee strip down at Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston, the same Super Bowl where Janet Jackson had the wardrobe malfunction. I missed both Roberts’ streak and Janet’s breast while taking an elevator down to the workroom in the bowels of Reliant Stadium.

Oh well. Maybe he’ll show up at the Super Bowl this year. I wonder if the Giants will
