More Favre speculation
Brett Favre just won’t go away.
Peter King of SI.com says, “my gut feeling is Favre never completely got this Vikings fixation out of his system. Now we wait for the smoke signals from chimneys in Eden Prairie, Minn., and southern Mississippi, to see if Favre wants to play again, and to see if the Vikings want him.”
King claims, “There’s no good reason to ask for his release from the Jets unless it’s to leave open the option to play again. I am told he may be feeling the urge to play again.”
Alex Marvez of FOXSports.com seems a little more certain.
Marvez writes, “We all knew Brett Favre’s self-described “itch” to play football again would eventually return following his retirement. For the second time in two years, it appears he’s ready to scratch. There were simply too many signs that emerged last week pointing to a Favre comeback:”
Marvez then lays out those things to make a compelling case.
