MUNSON WAITS ON APPEAL
Tottenville head coach Jim Munson pleaded his case to the PSAL yesterday, hoping to convince league officials that the 42-second fracas that broke out during the Pirates’ game at Canarsie on Friday was not enough to warrant a forfeit of Tottenville’s game this Friday against Madison – as league rules mandate.
Munson is still awaiting word from the league, but said that even if his appeal is denied – which would sink the Pirates’ record to 1-3 – they aren’t done.
“People think we’ll be dead if we lose this,” Munson said. “Our backs are against the wall, but I assure you, we are very much alive. This has brought our team together.”
