ST. PETERSBURG – Bobby Murcer has completed treatment for a brain tumor at a Houston hospital and is resting at his Oklahoma home.

“Six weeks of chemo and radiation were completed a couple of days ago,” his wife, Kay, said in a statement released by the Yankees’ public relations department. “On the way home [from the hospital], we stopped in Dallas for a family reunion of sorts. Everybody was there, including his two newest grandchildren.”

The former Yankees outfielder and current broadcaster will remain home for several weeks.

“We will return to Texas on the 18th or 19th to get an update and a progress report,” Kay Murcer said.
