On the court, Bostjan Nachbar noted that his new team is very similar to his old team. Off the court, things couldn’t be more different.
“Comparing it to Oklahoma City would be ridiculous,” Nachbar said.
Nachbar, who was acquired from the Hornets for Marc Jackson and Linton Johnson before last week’s trade deadline, played the final 35.2 seconds of the 101-91 loss to the Pacers.
A native of Slovenia, Nachbar already knew Nenad Krstic and Zoran Planinic before joining the Nets. And when the coaching staff walked him through the team’s plays, he said 75 percent of them were similar to the Hornets’ sets.
“It’s not going to a hard transition,” he said before the game.
Nachbar lost his starting job with the Hornets when he sprained his knee and missed about six weeks, he said, but last night he pronounced himself healthy.
Nets coach Lawrence Frank expects Nachbar to come off the bench at the small forward spot.
Nachbar always has wanted to play in the New York area, and he fantasized about it with his wife when he was immigrating four years ago.
“It’s going to be nice,” he said. “I’m going to try to take full advantage of living in a city like this.
“Obviously there’s a lot to offer.”

Krstic, who was an amazing 11-for-11 on Friday night, was plagued with foul trouble. Thirty-four seconds into the third, he was nailed with his fourth foul and left the game.
Krstic (1-for-6 with four points) picked up his fifth foul with 9:35 in the fourth.
“A couple of fouls I got were very cheap,” Krstic said. “I don’t know what’s going on.”Every game I have two cheap fouls.”

Richard Jefferson recorded his 1,000th career assist during the contest.
Actor James Gandolfini attended the game . . . The Nets wore throwback uniforms and honored their past.
