When it comes to the Knicks and Celtics there is no comparison, says Nate Robinson.

“They treated me good, but at times I felt like they didn’t,” Robinson said about the Knicks in an interview with AOL Fanhouse.

“But it is what it is. Sometimes it’s like your mom and your dad. You don’t communicate all the time being on the same page. But you move forward. I’m moving forward and not looking back.”

The Knicks traded Robinson to the Celtics on Feb. 18 for Eddie House and J.R. Giddens. Robinson did not specifically mention Mike D’Antoni, but the coach’s communication has been called into question by some. D’Antoni benched Robinson for a 14-game stretch in December.

But Robinson’s beef with the Knicks seems to date back to last offseason when the Knicks decided to give him and David Lee one-year contracts instead of committing to them long term.

“I’m here now and David, this summer time, he’s looking forward to playing on a team that would want him hopefully,” Robinson told the website.

“I wish the best for D. Lee. Me and him came (to New York) as late first-round picks (Robinson going No. 21 and Lee No. 30 in 2005). We were rookies together. Almost five years on the same team … and then not getting the, I don’t want to say, the respect that we deserved. We paid our dues. But some time this summer (a team will be able) to pay homage to us, I guess.”

Robinson played in four of the Celtics’ first 13 playoff games, but has come on of late. He provided a spark with 13 points when the Celtics closed out the Magic in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals and added another 13 on Thursday when Boston lost to the Lakers in the NBA Finals opener.

Robinson said he would love to return to the Celtics.

“Of course, I feel wanted here,” Robinson said.

The same can’t be said about his final year in New York.
