Seton Hall’s bubble officially burst this evening.
The Pirates were a longshot to make the field of 65 after losing to Notre Dame in the second round of the Big East Tournament, but hope was extinguished when the NCAA Tournament field was announced this evening.
Syracuse is the No. 1 seed out West, Kentucky in the East, Kansas in the Midwest and Duke, which won the ACC Tournament earlier today, took the final top seed in the South. West Virginia, winners of the Big East Tournament, was the No. 2 seed in the East.
Siena got a 13th seed and a matchup with Purdue, who has struggled since second leading scorer Robbie Hummel went down with a torn ACL.
