There are legit prospects, there are physical freaks and there are Internet sensations.
It appears Shawn Oakman is all three.
The 6-foot-9, 280-pound Baylor defensive end lit up the Internet at this past season’s Cotton Bowl, where his mammoth frame sparked all sorts of comedic memes.
On Tuesday, he did it with a video posted by Bleacher Report that showed off his awesome athleticism, making what is described as a 40-inch box jump – while holding a 70-pound dumbbell in each hand!
The sound effects in the slo-mo video just take it to another level.
Oakman’s jump wasn’t quite as high as ex-Florida State cornerback P.J. Williams or 6-foot-5, 289-pound Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt, a two-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year regarded as a supreme athlete himself. But then again, neither of them did it holding all that weight.
Oakman goes into next season as the No. 2 senior prospect in the country according to NFL.com, trying to lead Baylor to a third straight Big 12 championship.
