SARATOGA SPRINGS — There was a nasty spill in Wednesday’s second race here at a mile on turf, when Meghan’s Fury, ridden by Jaime Rodriguez, clipped the heels of Strikealinethruit at the top of the stretch and went down, then The Point Is, Jesus Castanon up, fell over him.

A huge roar of alarm went up from the crowd when the incident occurred, but it looked much worse than it actually was.

Both 3-year-old fillies got up and ran off, and Rodriguez and Castanon were cleared to ride their remaining mounts.
