Ed Davis added 16 points, 15 rebounds and a pair of momentum-changing blocked shots late for the Tar Heels (6-1). Williams became the 33rd coach in Division I history to reach the 600-victory mark.

In Houston, Dexter Pittman scored 21 points and No. 3 Texas held off a rally before pulling away. Pittman was 7-of-8 shooting from the field for the Longhorns (5-0). Suleiman Braimoh scored 12 points to lead the Owls (4-2).

In Anaheim, Da’Sean Butler tied his season high of 26 points to lead No. 8 West Virginia (5-0) to the 76 Classic championship.

In Anaheim, Demontez Stitt made two free throws with 3.3 seconds remaining to give No. 19 Clemson a victory over No. 12 Butler in the 76 Classic.

In Orlando, JaMychal Green scored 20 points, including a go-ahead dunk with five seconds to play, and Alabama beat No. 15 Michigan at the Old Spice Classic. Manny Haris had 26 points and 10 rebounds for Michigan (3-2).

In Anaheim, Derrick Roland scored 19 points to lead Texas A&M to a victory over No. 22 Minnesota in the 76 Classic. Nathan Walkup added 11 points while B.J. Holmes and Donald Sloan scored 10 points apiece for the Aggies (5-1).

In Orlando, Solomon Alabi hit a baseline jumper with 11.9 seconds left, and Florida State rallied to win the Old Spice Classic. Chris Singleton had 18 points and 10 rebounds for Florida State (6-1), which trailed by 12 points at halftime.

In Orlando, Kyle Smyth scored 14 points to lead Iona in the seventh-place game at the Old Spice Classic. Alejo Rodriguez had a slam and a layup during a 10-1 run that put Iona (4-2) up 57-48 with four minutes remaining.
Hampton 59, Monmouth 56
In Laramie, Wyo., Charles Funches scored 15 points and Hampton held off Monmouth in the World Vision Basketball Challenge. Monmouth’s Ed Waite had a chance to tie the game with 13 seconds to go but missed the second of two free throws.
