The most eye-opening first-round match-up is No. 18 Julia Richman visiting fifteenth-seeded Bronx Science in a battle of second-tier clubs from elite divisions. In the second round, No. 11 Bayside could meet No. 6 Beacon, last year’s runner-up; seventh-seeded John Adams, the Queens A West winner, could host Stuyvesant, the Manhattan powerhouse that beat Beacon; and Brooklyn A West titlist James Madison may face explosive Curtis.
