Zanovia Pierce gave up three runs, one earned, on five hits and struck out six to lead Riverdale/Kingsbridge to a 9-3 win over Bronx Science in PSAL Bronx A softball Monday at Harris Park. The victory marks the 100th of coach Bob Finz’s career.
Pierce was also 3-for-4 with three RBIs and Courtney Segal went 1-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs for RKA (5-5 Bronx A). Finz (100-43), the ninth-year coach, will retire at the end of the season. Bronx Science is 2-8.
Madison 11, Fort Hamilton 1: Cheyenne Tatesure gave up one run on five hits with two walks and struck out three in five innings for Madison (8-0 Brooklyn A). Gina Gerone went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and two runs scored and Samantha Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and one run. Fort Hamilton is 5-3.
Construction 9, Newtown 7: Britney Rodriguez, Kailan Luciano and Linda McKernan all drove in two runs apiece to lead Construction (8-1 Queens A-II). Britney Rodriguez gave up seven runs, two earned, on five hits with six walks and 10 strikeouts in five innings. Newtown is 5-4.
Susan Wagner 9, New Dorp 4: Kristine Ciurcina went 3-for-5 with two RBIs and two runs scored and Halle Siegel was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored for Wagner (9-3 Staten Island A). Taylor Sarcone gave up two earned runs on five hits and struck out seven in seven innings. New Dorp is 3-9.
Francis Lewis 21, Townsend Harris 2: Theo Alexandrou went 2-for-2 with three RBIs and four runs scored and Kim Chin was 1-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs for Lewis (10-0 Queens A-I). Priscilla Lallave gave up two runs on two hits and struck out four in four innings. Harris is 2-9.
Manhattan Center 13, LaGuardia 9: Christine Roundtree went 3-for-3 with a home run, three RBIs and two runs scored and Maria Rain Veloz was 4-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs to lead Manhattan Center (5-2 Manhattan A). LaGuardia is 5-4.
Van Buren 17, Bowne 7: Gina Brown went 1-for-3 with two RBIs and a run scored and gave up two earned runs on two hits with six strikeouts and eight walks in five innings.

Art & Design 5, Brandeis 0: Maria Guillen gave up just two hits, didn’t walk a batter and struck out 16 to lead Art & Design (4-3 Manhattan B-I). Saoni Fortuna was 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Brandeis is 1-6.
Economics & Finance 22, Baruch College Campus 2: Krystyna Gloss went 3-for-4 with a home run, four RBIs and four runs scored and Jaritza Aviles was 3-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs for Economics & Finance (6-3 Manhattan B-I). Baruch is 2-5.
