Beacon remained undefeated in Manhattan A West as right fielder Garrison Polius drove in three runs and scored twice in a 12-4 victory over West 50th Street Campus. Justin Sims doubled twice, scored twice and drove in two runs and Kal Glick tossed six strong innings for the win.
The Blue Demons (5-0) scored five runs apiece in the first two innings to break it open. West 50th is 0-4.
Environmental Studies 3, Stuyvesant 2: Joe Randazzo had three hits and two RBIs, Anderson Acosta scored twice and drove in a run, and Ed Corniel went the distance, striking out eight and allowing only one earned run for Environmental Studies (3-2) in Manhattan A West. Stuyvesant is also 3-2.
Graphic Communication 11, Murry Bergtraum 1: Steven De La Cruz homered, doubled, had three RBIs and scored twice, Alvin Gomez scored two runs and drove in one, and Algenis Vicente tossed five innings of one-run ball for Graphic Communication (1-4), which scored five in the second and four in the fourth, in Manhattan A West.
