n tonight’s edition of “Real Sports with Bryant Gumble” (HBO, 10), one of the segments will be about Queens resident Ashrita Furman, who holds the Guinness World Record for holding the most world records.

Over the course of the past 30 years, Furman, a 55-year-old health-food store manager, has set 244 records, and became the first person to have more than 100 at once in April. His records include running the fastest mile with a milk bottle on his head (seven minutes and 47 seconds), bouncing a basketball 339 times in a minute, and pushing a car 17 miles in 24 hours.

“I was the biggest world-class nerd (at Jamaica High School),” Furman says during the episode. “I was so un-athletic, I got beat up on my first day of high school.”

Furman, who calls his pursuit of records a spiritual quest, currently holds 92 world records.
