Adding to his stuffed trophy case, The Wildcat captured first place over more than 50 foes in the 2006-07 edition of Playbook’s long-running Wise Guys Contest with an overall record of 25-11 (going 16-2 on top plays, and closing with 11 in a row). Including the 1997-2006 seasons in The Post, Cat’s 12-year record in print stands at 332-270 (55.1 percent) against the spread.

TOMORROW

MICHIGAN (+4) over Ohio State: Juice Williams and Illini took it to the Bucks. Now, Brutus’ boys must visit the Wolverines, themselves off a loss and eager for redemption. It’s speculated this will be Lloyd Carr’s final regular-season game. Chad Henne and Mike Hart will give it their all to make it a pleasant one. Hart didn’t delay his NFL draft exposure to lose this game. Goodbye, Columbus. Michigan (+4), for one unit.

Oregon State (+21/2) over WASHINGTON STATE: Washington QB Jake Locker was knocked from last week’s game with the Beavers on a clean hit. Game deteriorated into near-brawl from there. OSU can be chippy, and has dominated Cougars in recent years with sustained application of this style. Embrace OSU (+21/2) here, as smashmouth football prevails.

SUNDAY

VIKINGS (-51/2) over Raiders: Everybody liked the Vikes against the Pack last Sunday. They play Green Bay tough, right? Usually, but not always. Now, with the absence of stud RB Adrian Peterson haunting the Minnesota faithful, the Raiduhs appeal to many. Don’t fall for it! Chester Taylor carries on, for Minny. What will the Raiders do for points? Not much. Purple Gang (-51/2) smothers, for one unit.

LAST WEEK: 1-2 (minus one unit). Jayhawk schedule not the strongest, but can’t knock success (Oklahoma State, minus one unit). Same can be said about Green Bay (Packers, plus one unit). Too little, too late (Bills/Dolphins over, minus one unit).

SEASON: 11-11-1.
