Raiders star running back Darren McFadden will not play tomorrow against the Broncos because of a sprained right foot, giving Michael Bush his first start of the season.

McFadden hurt his foot in the first quarter against the Chiefs two weeks ago. He did not practice at all during the bye week or this week. Coach Hue Jackson gave no timetable on his possible return.

“I know we’re making progress each and every day,” Jackson said. “I think he’s getting closer and closer.”

Until McFadden is healthy, it will be Bush getting the bulk of the work for the Raiders. Bush’s last start came in the season finale at Kansas City last season when he ran for 137 yards and a touchdown.

STEELERS: Linebacker LaMarr Woodley will not play tomorrow night in the AFC North showdown against the Ravens due to a hamstring injury sustained in last week’s win over the Patriots.

Pittsburgh’s other former Pro Bowl outside linebacker, though, is expected to play for the first time in a month. James Harrison has missed the past four games with a broken orbital bone, but is probable.

CARDINALS: Quarterback Kevin Kolb is listed as doubtful for today’s game against the Rams. That means second-year pro John Skelton, the former Fordham University star, probably will start.

Kolb did not practice all week because of a turf toe injury that occurred early in last Sunday’s loss at Baltimore.

RAMS: Quarterback Sam Bradford was limited in practice and is questionable for tomorrow due to a high left ankle sprain. If Bradford does not play, the Rams will again start A. J. Feeley.

TEXANS: Star receiver Andre Johnson will sit out tomorrow’s game as he continues to nurse a right hamstring injury. Johnson will miss his fifth straight game.

BROWNS: Peyton Hillis re-injured his left hamstring during practice and the running back, who has missed Cleveland’s past two games with the injury, will likely sit out tomorrow at Houston.

PACKERS: Cornerback Sam Shields expects to play tomorrow at San Diego after recovering from a concussion.

The second-year player was hurt when he picked off a pass in the end zone and attempted to run it out in the Packers’ win over St. Louis on Oct. 16., taking a blindside hit from Rams receiver Brandon Gibson

BENGALS: The team has sold out its Nov. 13 home game against the Steelers, breaking its streak of seven straight games blacked out on local television .

Cincinnati (5-2) failed to sell out its last four games in 2010 and the first three this year.
