Willie Randolph will not return as Orioles third-base coach, MLB.com reported Friday.

A source told the website Randolph was not offered a contract for 2012 after his one-year deal expired at the end of this season.

“Randolph was originally hired on a one-year deal as manager Buck Showalter’s bench coach, but he switched to third base halfway through the season to accommodate John Russell,” the report says.

Randolph was fired as Mets manager in June 2008 and replaced by Jerry Manuel. He was on the Brewers coaching staff for two seasons before joining the Orioles.
