RANGERS RE-SIGN HOSSA
Ranger president and GM Glen Sather brought winger Marcel Hossa back into the fold yesterday with a one-year deal at 600G.
Hossa, 24, played 64 games with the Rangers last season, going 10-6-16 with 28 penalty minutes, all career highs. The 6-3, 200-pounder was a Montreal first-rounder in 2000 (16th overall), and was dealt to the Rangers Sept. 30, 2005, for Garth Murray.
Hossa represented Slovakia in the Turin Olympics and went 1-3-4 in seven games at last spring’s World Championships in Riga, Latvia.
