LENNY Wilkens has been hired to succeed Butch Carter as coach of the Raptors, The Post has learned.

Terms of the contract are unconfirmed. Because the Hawks owed Wilkens two years worth of salary ($10.5 million) when the parties separated, logic dictates he got the same deal in Toronto with the club owning an option for a third year.

Money never was an issue. Whatever Wilkens pockets from his Canadian employer will be subtracted from Atlanta’s obligation.
