For the loyal Red Bull fans that haven’t given up on their club, and want a chance to see the players up close, you’re in luck. The team will hold an open practice at 4 p.m. this Wednesday at River Bank Park in the Ironbound section of Newark.

River Bank Park is at 618 Market St., right across the Passaic River from under-construction Red Bull Arena in Harrison. After the big club practices, the Red Bull Training Academy will hold a youth clinic at 5:30 p.m. with players from the Ironbound Soccer club. The practice is a lead-in to this weeken’s Portuguese Day Festival, which the team will be a part of.

“The Ironbound has such a storied soccer history and is such a vibrant Newark neighborhood,” said sporting director Jeff Agoos. “It should be a fun afternoon for the fans to come out and see the team prepare for its match that weekend in Toronto.”

Any of you guys and gals go to this thing, try not to worry about Toronto too much. Just take in the practice, go enjoy some good Portuguese food in the Ironbound, and relax….
