The Red Bulls were eliminated from the U.S. Open Cup last night with a 2-0 loss to Crystal Palace USA in Annapolis, Md., but they picked two players with the acquisitions of Argentina’s Juan Pietravallo and Venezeula’s Jorge Rojas.

Rojas, 31, is the former captain of the Venezuelan national team and could play left wing or attacking midfield. Pietravallo, 26, is a 5-foot-9 defensive midfielder who has played in Spain and is coming from a Greek Super League club.
