Originally, the Red Bulls were thought NOT to be able to clinch a postseason berth this weekend, regardless of their result at Sporting Kansas City or the results of the other games. But apparently somebody at MLS headquarters had a Good Will Hunting moment and figured out that New York CAN indeed seal a playoff spot, although the odds are slimmer than Keira Knightley’s waistline.

All of the following events need to happen:

– if the Red Bulls beat Sporting KC

then

– there is a winner between Portland and Houston

And

-Columbus beats New England

And

-Colorado beats Real Salt Lake.

Oh, that’s all it will take?
